Jean-Luc Soulier successfully defended the six-time French champions Olympique Lyonnais before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in a dispute against the Brazilian club S.C. Corinthians relating to the transfer of the international player Honorato da Siva Nilmar. The CAS affirmed FIFA’s decision and ordered S.C. Corinthians to pay off the balance of the transfer price, i.e. EUR 8 million euros.
