Second Edition of Global Guide to Data Breach Notifications

We are pleased to announce the release of the updated and expanded second edition of the Global Guide to Data Breach Notifications.

Read the official news release dated April 4, 2016

This Guide, designed as a reference multi-jurisdictional handbook, covers 60 major jurisdictions worldwide and provides essential information for companies confronted with a data breach in one or more countries. It answers commonly asked questions, such as what kind of personal data needs to be protected in each country, what companies must do when personal data is illegally accessed, stolen or lost, and when and how affected individuals and regulatory authorities need to be notified.

It was produced by the Privacy & Data Protection Group of the World Law Group, one of the oldest and largest networks of independent law firms with more than 18,000 legal professionals from 350 offices in major business centers in 75 countries worldwide.

Laure Marolleau has authored the chapter France of this Guide.

Eager to provide companies with up-to-date information in a fast-changing legal and regulatory environment, the World Law Group maintains a micro website dedicated to these issues where the second edition of the Global Guide to Data Breach Notifications can be downloaded for free.
