In the so-called dioxin case

In the so-called dioxin case, the Investigating Chamber of the Chambery Court of Appeals confirmed on September 9, 2009 the full dismissal order issued by the investigating judge for the benefit of Mr. Albert Gibello, the former mayor of Albertville and former president of the intermunicipal syndicate that owns the waste incinerator.

Mr. Gibello, represented by Jean-Luc Soulier, was indicted in 2004 and charged with endangering the lives of others following claims from associations of ecologists and people living near the incinerator that wrongly alleged that the incinerator was responsible for causing cancers.
